The Ultimate Fighter: Team Jones Vs. Team Sonnen – Episode 9

The Ultimate FighterLet’s hope it doesn’t take long to get to the Kevin Casey vs. Bubba McDaniel fight.

The story is clear for both guys. They struggled, maybe even choked in their first fight and now is their chance for redemption. Bubba looks like he wants it more, but Casey is confident as well. He does have a cut from the first fight that doesn’t look to be healed yet.

Bubba and Kevin can’t eat Thanksgiving dinner with the rest of the guys and are hating life. Chael tells Jones that he’s a nice guy and Jones tells Chael the same. Nice way to build the fight guys!

Well, they didn’t take long to get there.

Bubba McDaniel vs. Kevin Casey

Casey turned it into a jiu-jitsu match immediately, pulling guard from the start. He then got top position and while he didn’t really do anything with it, McDaniel looked like he was definitely bothered. Back up, McDaniel had his back to the cage, but turned his hips like Chael wanted and pushed Casey back to the cage. He landed a knee and an elbow. Casey kept powering him back to where he wanted him, including back on the ground before the round ended.

Well, round two clearly went to Bubba and Casey looks out on his feet. He’s absolutely exhausted. Bubba took him down and held him there and Casey couldn’t do anything about it for the entire round. Continue reading

The Ultimate Fighter: Team Jones Vs. Team Sonnen – Episode 8

The Ultimate Fighter

The wild card is scheduled to be announced on this show. Adam thinks that Bubba deserves the UFC contract more than anyone. The fight tonight is Dylan Andrews (sounds like a FCW name) and Zak Cummings. Zak says that Dylan is the nicest guy in the entire house.

The coaches’ challenge is three competitions all while driving excavators. They have to fill a dumpster with dirt, create a pyramid with tires, and grab a basketball and drop it into one of the tires. Continue reading

The Ultimate Fighter: Team Jones Vs. Team Sonnen – Episode 4

The Ultimate Fighter

Adam Cella was a good sport when he went back to the house. He congratulated Uriah in the shower.

Jon Jones says that Collin Hart is a better athlete than his opponent, Kevin Casey. He said Casey’s muscular, but Hart has wrestler’s muscle.

Kevin Casey is also a rapper and Gilbert Smith tried to engage in a rap battle with him. Casey wasn’t bad but I expected him to be a little better at his free style.

The power went out in the house and some Team Sonnen guys decided to take toilet paper and wrap up some of the Team Jones guys, but it wasn’t a very well-designed prank so they just ended up throwing rolls of toilet paper and ran away.

At the weigh-in, Collin flipped Kevin off and it angered Team Sonnen. Bubba McDaniel thought it got under their skin, which I’m sure was the goal.

Collin says the middle finger was because they messed with his sleep in the dumb prank. Casey says he doesn’t care about the finger, but he’s a professional and finger or not, Hart still has to get in the cage with him.

Collin just sounds like he feels disrespected in general, from being picked to face Kevin to being pranked. Hart’s taller by three inches and has a slightly longer reach.
