UFC On Fox 10 Play By Play – Henderson Vs. Thomson

UFC on Fox 10 play by play

This is one of the weaker UFC on Fox cards the UFC and Fox has put on together. It’s void of a championship fight in the main event, but it does feature a familiar face in Benson Henderson. Also, one of Josh Thomson’s biggest wins was on Fox when he knocked out Nate Diaz. While it might not be the most must-see fight when it comes to the public, it should still be a damn good fight.

UFC On Fox 10 Preview: Henderson Vs. Thomson

UFC on Fox 10 previewFor 2014, we’re going to keep track of our picks for most of the UFC main card fights. In addition to the FGB crew, included in our picks will be John LaRocca, president of Premier Wrestling, Heidi Fang from MMA Fight Corner, and Alex Goff from Online World Of Wrestling.

We’ll tally them up after every main show (UFC on Fox, UFC PPVs, and important UFC Fight Night cards) and keep track throughout the year. It should be a blast.

But we’re also going to still preview the big fights. For this show, we’ll preview the main event as well as Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Stipe Miocic, and share the rest of our picks.

Video – UFC on FOX 10: Road to the Octagon

road to the octagon

If you look at the main card for the UFC on Fox 10 show, it’s not one that’s going to catch your eye. Outside of the main event, I’m not sure there’s a must-see fight. There are fights on the FS1 prelims that I’d rather see than some of the main card fights.

But, because the show is during the NFL season, it should still do a decent rating. And hopefully, either Benson Henderson or Josh Thomson will get showcased in a way that will help market the upcoming lightweight championship in a strong way.

I really like this main event, though based on the Road to the Octagon special, I’m not sure there’s much to it outside of the fact that both guys are really good fighters. I think they missed the boat to reintroduce Josh Thomson to UFC fans. However, they did do a pretty good job with Stipe Miocic’s story, as short as it was.
