UFC 184 Live Coverage – Rousey Vs Zingano

Rousey vs Zingano

Will Cat Zingano give Ronda Rousey her toughest test yet?

If so, as the UFC marketing slogan says, “The time is now.”

We’ll have live coverage of UFC 184: Rousey Vs Zingano.

According to Ariel Helwani, Brock Lesnar is in the building.

Gleison Tibau Vs Tony Ferguson

Ferguson ate Tibau up. He knocked him loopy and then sunk in a rear naked choke.

Winner: Tony Ferguson by way of 1st round submission

Alan Jouban Vs Richard Walsh

Two fights, two quick stoppages.

They were standing toe-to-toe until Jouban caught him and knocked him out.

Winner: Alan Jouban by way of 1st round TKO

Josh Koscheck Vs Jake Ellenberger

Koscheck looked good in the first. He was first with the striking and was quick with his takedown shots. He stalled out the fight to end the round.

In the second, Kos shot low and kept him up against the cage. Ellenberger grabbed Kos around the neck, they went to the ground and Kos tapped to the North/South choke. He was foaming at the mouth before tapping.

Winner: Jake Ellenberger by way of 2nd round submission

Holly Holm Vs Raquel Pennington

Holm looked nervous throughout, but picked it up later in the round. It looked like she was trying to do a bunch of things at once and couldn’t decide. Pennington couldn’t take her down, but landed a few shots, but nothing really landed well.

Holm looked more comfortable and was showing off her great boxing skill. She’s headkick hunting. She gets in and by the time she’s out, Pennington can’t catch her.

Have to love the fight in Pennington for hanging in there. Near the end of the round, she was trading and getting the better of the exchanges. She caught Holm and put her down in the third.

Winner: Holly Holm by way of split decision

The scores were 29-28, 28-29, and 30-27.

Cat Zingano Vs Ronda Rousey

Zingano flew in with a knee and they clinched together and Cat looked to take her down but Ronda flipped her over. Cat ended up with her arm out and Ronda chicken-winged it with her leg and Cat tapped.

Winner: Ronda Rousey by way of 1st round submission
