Survivor Series Live Coverage: Team Authority Vs Team Cena

Survivor Series live coverage

With lots of surprises rumored, this may be the most interesting Survivor Series show in years and years.

We wrote about the Sting and Randy Orton rumors early this morning.

They need a really good show tonight to back up all the last second hype.

Well, look who is here.

Let’s get the Survivor Series live coverage started.

Vince opens the show and puts the show over. He brings out Stephanie and Triple H who kiss his butt. He brings out John Cena and the Authority berates him. The stipulation is that if Team Cena loses, he keeps his job, but his teammates lose their jobs.

Vince says that if Team Authority loses, Stephanie and Triple H will still have their desk jobs, but won’t be in control of the careers of wrestlers any longer. And the only person who can bring them back into power is John Cena.

1. The Usos Vs The Miz & Damien Mizdow Vs Los Matadores Vs Goldust & Stardust

Mizdow is insanely over with this crowd. The crowd was calling for him to come in the match and Stardust teased it, but since it’s Fatal Four Way rules, it doesn’t make sense to tag out. Mizdow finally tagged himself in and the crowd popped, but Goldust reached him and tagged himself in and the crowd was very upset. Lots of “We want Mizdow” chants.

This was a really good opener. The dynamic was that you wanted to keep your team inside the ring and not tag out except to your partner. But anytime anyone ran the ropes or turned their back, they risked getting tagged in. It sped up the match and kept people on their feet.

There were several big high spots including Stardust falling ass forward to the outside on the Usos and El Torito and one of the Matadors doing dives outside. There was a stacked suplex with the Matadors and the Dust Brothers inside the ring. One of the Usos hit a big splash on Goldust and Miz tagged him out and was ready to get the pin. However, Mizdow tagged himself in and got the pin.

Winner: The Miz and Damien Mizdow

The new tag team champs each stood up in the corner to raise their hands. Miz had the straps in his hands. The crowd did the boo, yay chants when each put their hands up.

There’s going to be a live Steve Austin podcast on the WWE Network a week from Monday with his special guest, Vince McMahon.

For some reason, a match was made for later in the show between Adam Rose and the Bunny against Slater Gator.

2. Paige, Cameron, Summer Rae, and Layla Vs Natalya, Naomi, Emma, and Alicia Fox

Rather than discuss the match as it’s not really all that exciting, here are your eliminations:
– Naomi eliminated Cameron with a roll-up.
– Alicia Fox who the other girls are afraid of, pinned Layla.
– Emma submitted Summer Rae (who was atrocious in this match) in the Emma Lock.
– Naomi pinned Paige with her leg scissors DDT.

Winners: Natalya, Naomi, Emma, and Alicia Fox

They really won because of this man.

3. Dean Ambrose Vs Bray Wyatt

The match was fairly fun and hard hitting, though the crowd didn’t get into it much. But the finish was weird. Wyatt gave Ambrose a chair to use on him and left himself wide open. Ambrose teased using it but the referee tried talking him out of it. Then Ambrose decided to use it on him for the disqualification.

He then DDT’d Wyatt on the chair, did an elbow on him through the table, and then tossed some chairs and a table on top of him. Maybe Bray failed a medicine test. I guess they just wanted to portray Dean as strong as possible?

Winner: Bray Wyatt

Triple H tried to pump Team Authority up after Stephanie nearly started crying when saying they had to win. He said that they better win, or else the next person in charge will make their lives miserable, including the champions. Freddie Blassie, this was not.

4. Adam Rose and The Bunny Vs Slater Gator

The Bunny pinned Heath Slater with a drop kick off the top rope. Adam Rose had his hand out waiting for the tag.

Winner: Adam Rose and The Bunny

I think Adam Rose is still waiting for that hot tag.

Roman Reigns was interviewed and said he’ll be back next month.

5. Nikki Bella Vs AJ Lee

All that happened was this.

Brie suckered AJ Lee planted a big kiss on her lips. Then Nikki hit the Torture Rack drop for the pinfall and win.

Winner: Nikki Bella

They hopped out together seemingly happy together like the con was on us.

Announced for next month is Dean Ambrose vs Bray Wyatt at TLC. So Dean gets to kill him again?

6. Team Authority (Kane, Mark Henry, Luke Harper, Rusev, and Seth Rollins) Vs Team Cena (Dolph Ziggler, Big Show, Erick Rowan, Ryback, and John Cena)

Team Authority pumped Mark Henry up and he charged into the Big Show who threw a right hand and knocked him out for the pin. It’s now 5-4 with the advantage to Team Cena.

Seth Rollins snuck in the ring to give Ryback and curb stomp and Rusev hit him with the big side kick. Ryback is pinned. It’s now 4-4. What was all the building up of Ryback these last few weeks for?

Dolph Ziggler and Rusev were legal and both outside the ring. Rusev wanted to set him up for something big. He put Ziggler on the announcer’s table and went to dive on top of him but missed. Ziggler got back into the ring, but Rusev didn’t. Rusev was counted out. That leaves Team Cena with the advantage again at 4-3.

Luke Harper clotheslined Erick Rowan out of his boots and pinned him. It’s back at 3-3.

Big Show turned on Team Cena and hit Cena with the TKO punch and Team Authority has their first advantage at 3-2. Big Show then walked out so Dolph Ziggler is left at a 3-1 disadvantage.

Dolph gets his chance to be Shawn Michaels. He superkicked Kane for the pinfall and it’s now 2-1 Team Authority.

Dolph rolled up Luke Harper to get a sneak pin and it’s one on one.

The last several minutes of this match was great. Ziggler and Rollins went at it like they were the future of the company. Ziggler had Rollins a couple of times, but he kicked out. He hit the Zig Zag, but Triple H pulled the referee out and punched him. That should be a DQ loss. Rollins set up the curb stomp on Ziggler, but Ziggler moved. He hit the Zig Zag again, but Triple H beat up the next referee who came in. He then started to beat up Ziggler. Triple H pedigreed him and Scott Armstrong came in to count the pin. Then, Sting’s music played.

They circled around each other for a couple of minutes and then Triple H took his first shot. Sting booted him in the gut and set him up for the Scorpion Death Drop.

He then put Dolph Ziggler on top of Seth Rollins (must’ve been the best Zig Zag of all-time) and Team Cena won the match.

Winner: Team Cena

Stephanie and Triple H were distraught inside the middle of the ring. Fade to black…
