UFC Champion Brock Lesnar could be out indefinitely

Published by Big D at 10:08 am under Mixed Martial Arts, News, Pro Wrestling, UFC, WWE

I feel very strange writing this, but Brock Lesnar may in fact be done with fighting.

In one of the scariest and eeriest stories to come around in a long time, Brock Lesnar has been hospitalized yet again but this time, the circumstances are being kept a secret.

The story came out recently that he had mono, but now apparently Brock Lesnar has a much more serious sickness that will prevent him from fighting again. The quote from Dana White, who has sworn to secrecy, was that “it will be a long time before he fights, if ever”. Dana did however state that it isn’t “cancer or AIDS”. Speculation amongst MMA fans ranges from Hepatitus to Tuberculosis to God knows what, but we may never see UFC’s biggest star fight again.

I do hope Brock is okay and even if he doesn’t fight again, I hope he lives a normal life.

Update Monday 1:29PM Eastern: UFC President Dana White told TMZ that Brock Lesnar is suffering from a major intestinal disorder and will require “major surgery.” Hmm… maybe he’ll be ok after the surgery.

I hope Dana meant cancer or HIV. I hate it when smart people get that stuff wrong.

I agree with you. If Brock never fights again, I can live with that. If he’s sick and this somehow affects his lifestyle, that sucks.

    Get well Brock!

I want to see Brock fight again, and hope he makes a complete recovery.

Me too. But I’m most worried about his health. He’s a brand new father.

I had completely forgotten about that. But reports I read on Sherdog say his illness is not life threatening. So that is good and welcomed news.

I’ve heard similar, but I have heard that it could be career threatening.

I’m not one prone to wild speculation, but “career threatening” and not “life threatening” leads me to believe Hep C – something which won’t kill him short term but indeed would make it very dangerous to sustain any blows that would injure his kidneys or liver.

Yep, that wouldn’t surprise me. I hope it’s not that, but then again, I hope it’s not anything and I know that’s not that case.

Big Nog is also out of his UFC 108 fight with a staph infection. That card is just taking a beating.

Hopefully nothing happens to the planned Rashad Evans-Thiago Silva fight that will now headline.

My ex-girlfriend, who works in San Diego as a massage therapist texted me over the weekend to ask me who The Minotaur was and if he was famous enough to get free stuff.

I told her to let him marinate for a few weeks because he has bad staph.

When i heard about Hep C i thought, did Brock ever fight Randy Orton when his dad was in his corner? I remember Taker’s blowup backstage when he found out

    Did Lesnar ever wrestle Orton?

Yes he did on Smackdown in 2002.
