I watched UFC 103.
Didn’t see the point in watching the boxing match, everyone knew the outcome.
The key was more that it was just the bigger event. And after watching both, I made the right choice which one to watch live.
UFC is simply out doin boxing and will continue to do so even without the mainstream media helping MMA.
Well, I think it’s your perspective.
The Mayweather fight was much bigger and the UFC event wasn’t fantastic. The UFC is hot, but boxing has another big one in just two months, so we’ll see. I’m happy because I’m a fan of both.
If the numbers being muttered are true, this was closer than I expected.
1 million for the Boxing match and in the area of 600,000 for the UFC. If these figures are even close to true I see this as a morale victory for the UFC.
Like G.G. said, UFC 103 wasn’t great. Non-title headliner at a weight class that doesn’t exist. Co-Main Event wasn’t big names either.
Where’d you hear the UFC number? I was hearing in the 350-500 range.
Just mutters around message boards. Even 500,000 is pretty respectable in the head-to-head.
