Raw Thoughts – Will The Nature Boy Wrestle Again?

Published by GG at 3:20 pm under Pro Wrestling,Review,WWE

After last night’s show, I was wondering about a couple storyline advancements, but the main thing had to do with Ric Flair wrestling again. I would imagine that either he or Mickey Rourke will be wrestling Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania. After “retiring” and being sent off better than any wrestler in history, would they ruin that to get Flair back in the ring? I imagine he’s itching to get back in the ring. Chris Jericho vs. Ric Flair at Wrestlemania? I think it could be a pretty cool match, but I wonder if it’s necessary right now. Is it big enough to ruin Flair’s retirement?

The other thing that I was interested in after the show was where the JBL/HBK storyline goes. It would seem that HBK beats JBL at No Way Out, getting the money he needs so that this storyline isn’t such a waste of time, but then again, it doesn’t seem like they’d put so much into it and then just cut it off before Mania. Isn’t that the show where you do all the blow offs? But if HBK doesn’t win and JBL owns him, how do they get out of that one?

I thought the Randy Orton promo at the beginning was idiotic, but I’m not sure what else they could’ve done. The backstage segment where he kicked Shane who was protecting his sister from getting kicked in the head was really good TV. For one split second I thought they were going to have him go to kick Steph and then stop, but this was way better. The way the camera was set up when it happened gave it away, but still, it was great. Do I want to see old man Shane vs. Randy O at No Way Out? Nope. But oh well.

Regal is awesome. I’m not a Punk fan. So I liked their short encounter. Jericho vs. Cena was fine, but there wasn’t a need for the match at all. Next week’s show looks like it should be solid with Orton and Undertaker and the return of Flair. Being that Oakland isn’t all that far from me, I should probably go, but I don’t think I will. I’d rather watch it on TV.
